Andrew Jaques is a Design & Planning (Arch) graduate with post-graduate qualifications in Lighting Design, as well as being a professional member of the IALD. He joined The Flaming Beacon in 1994 and became a Director in 2017.

During this time he has designed and managed a wide range of local and international architectural projects. He enjoys the challenges and rewards that come from researching what makes each project unique, to create memorable user experiences through light application.

Andrew is a firm believer that the best possible project results come from great collaboration with the other project designers to create atmospheres that are seamlessly integrated into, and when appropriate, layered over the built form.

In his spare time, he has been investigating lighting devices at various scales that aim to reconnect human biological rhythms to nature. He brings this interest, along with a passion for modernist architecture and photography into his design thinking.
