I am Amer Alchama, a Syrian-American lighting designer hailing from Damascus, the world's
oldest continuously inhabited city. Fleeing the war in 2013, I brought with me a deep-rooted
passion for design. I pursued my education in design and architecture across three countries:
Syria, the USA, and Germany. This diverse background, combined with my love for travel and
exploration, has profoundly influenced my personality and creative approach. As a lighting
designer, I draw inspiration from various cultures, blending traditional elements with contemporary
visions. I believe that the fusion of diverse perspectives fuels innovation and leads to extraordinary
